Dear Alumni Member:
As President of the Omaha Cardinal Youth Athletic Association, I am writing you this letter to respectfully request your financial assistance for the 2004 baseball season. As you are well aware, the operation of a select baseball program requires a great deal of funding. However, being a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, and without the luxury of enjoying a corporate sponsor, the amount of income that the Organization receives on a yearly basis is extremely limited. Therefore, the Organization relies on the generous support of private donations to fund the vast majority of its endeavors.
As alumni, hopefully you thoroughly enjoyed your experience with the Cardinals and gained a great deal from such. This is an opportunity to give back to the program that helped propel your son’s baseball career. For this season, your financial support will go towards new tops for the dugouts at Towl Park, new surfaces for both Rocket and Towl Park, and other cosmetic and physical improvements to the fields. Additionally, the Organization would like to begin a scholarship program to help families that have trouble covering the costs of participation in the program. Your contribution will go to the general Organization account, so as to be utilized by all teams in the Organization.
My ultimate goal as President of the Organization is to thrust the Cardinals to unprecedented heights and success. I am very confident that with your help, the Board of Directors can catapult the Cardinals to a position equal with that of the finest and most successful select baseball programs in the country.
Any contribution that you choose to make will be greatly appreciated. Potential corporate sponsorships are also welcome and negotiable. Your contributions are fully tax-deductible, and your name will prominently appear in our 2004 Omaha Cardinal Creighton Classic USSSA NIT tournament program. Either cash or checks are acceptable. The Omaha Cardinal Youth Athletic Association Federal Tax Identification Number is: 47-0753476
Please make all checks payable to the “Omaha Cardinal Youth Athletic Association,” and write “2004 Omaha Cardinal Alumni Fundraising Drive” in the memorandum section. I have enclosed a receipt for your records. Please mail to the addressed listed on the form.
