The Omaha Cardinal Youth Athletic Association is a select youth baseball
program that provides area youth, ages 9 through 14, with an opportunity
to play competitive baseball at the highest of levels. The Omaha
Cardinal Youth Athletic Association was founded in the early 1990's, and
is currently the second-longest running select baseball program in
Omaha.
The Omaha Cardinal Youth Athletic Association prides itself in its
professionalism and operation. The Omaha Cardinals realize that an
organization's success in developing young players stems from the
coaches that it employs. In this regard, all Omaha Cardinal teams
employ professional non-parent coaches. All coaches have substantial
playing and/or coaching experience, and all coaches are interviewed,
approved and hired by the Omaha Cardinal Youth Athletic Association
Board of Directors. Indeed, Omaha Cardinal coaches are some of the
finest select baseball coaches in the area.
Additionally, over the course of the season, the Cardinals will play
approximately 50-90 games, depending on the age of the team. Practices
will begin in November, and games will run from the beginning of April
to the end of July. The season will include an opportunity to travel
and play against some of the best teams in the country. In the past,
Cardinal teams have played games in Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Missouri,
Kansas, Oklahoma, Michigan and Mississippi, and have played against
teams from all across the United States.
Playing for the Omaha Cardinals is a great way to get players ready for
the rigors of the high school season. Players playing select baseball
in the Omaha area face top competition every season, and often develop
into some of the finest players in the country. Likewise, the coaches
and administrators of the Omaha Cardinals are well-connected within the
Omaha baseball community, and association with the Omaha Cardinals will
dramatically help a player's chances of making their high school teams.
It's never too early to start thinking about a player's high school
career.
Playing select baseball with the Omaha Cardinals is truly a rewarding
